Do you heat your home with firewood as a primary or secondary source? Are you thinking of using wood heat to supplement your home heating needs? I've created this site to help demystify and hopefully educate anyone about the joys of wood heat.
ENJOYED YOUR PHOTOS OF QUERCUS ALBA FIREWOOD. HRRE IN CENTRAL MARYLAND, RED OAK IS MORE PLENTIFUL, BUT I THINK WHITE IS SLIGHTLY BETTER FIREWOOD: DENSER AND GIVES OFF A CRISP, CLEAN, NUTTY SMELL WHILE BURNING. CAN'T GO WRONG W/EITHER, THOUGH. AM PLANNING TO HARVEST A BIG WHITE OAK DOWN IN THE WOODS LOCALLY. SHOULD BE A STRUGGLE AND AN ADVENTURE--GOTTA AVOID AND REMOVE POISON IVY VINES ON TREE--BUT THAT'S HOW I LIKE IT. GREAT SITE; KEEP IT UP.
